Corten Steel

Corten Steel (CS) is a weathering steel that forms a stabilizing rust finish. This material is a corrosion-resistant steel that develops an outer layer patina of rust when exposed to the environment. This process will begin here at UltraLights and will continue until the patination stabilizes in its final environment. The actual pattern and coloration of our Corten Steel will vary from the samples provided and images displayed. These variations are normal and part of the natural appearance that makes this finish and material desirable — no two pieces are exactly alike. This unique quality will intensify with age.
